Delicate

..........................................................................
We might kiss when we are alone
When nobody's watching
I might take you home
We might make out when nobody's there
It's not that we're scared
It's just that it's delicate

So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed
From the only place that you've known
And why do you sing Hallelujah
If it means nothing to you
Why do you sing with me at all?

We might live like never before
When there's nothing to give
Well how can we ask for more
We might make love in some sacred place
The look on your face is delicate

So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed
From the only place that you've known
And why do you sing Hallelujah
If it means nothing to you
Why do you sing with me at all?

So why do you fill my sorrow
With the words you've borrowed
From the only place that you've known
And why do you sing Hallelujah
If it means nothing to you
Why do you sing with me at all?

So This Is Goodbye...

Yup, ya read that correctly. I have decided to stop using this blog. Sure, it's kinda sad, but really I think we've come to the point where it's just not worth it to keep this old girl around.

Okay, fine, I'll admit it. I've been seduced to the darkside. Also known as Livejournal. I couldn't help it! They have cut tags, and icons, and mood themes, and friends_page options...and, well, I'm just a weak, weak person. I'll still keep this blog up for links and records and stuff, but if all goes well this will be my last post here. And from now on I will be posting to "A Half Smile To The Left" Live Journal Version (So I suck at coming up with names, what?)

Sure, we've had good times, with Labyrinth characters in my bathroom, and kicking Black Bart's ass with my yellow belt, and sleeping in on the day of my Psyche exam. But now it's time to turn the page. To icons.

Did I mention the weak thing?

I wish I had a cool way to sign off, but I guess ya gotta deal with the hand you're dealt.

Be Well, and Catch ya later, Space Cowboys.

Holding It In Leads To Constipation...

..and we all know what that leads to.

Yup, verbal diarrhea ;)

So, I have a ton of things that I should talk about, but am lazy and lack stamina. So I'll do a quick Eagle's Eye View of What is the Up.

-My car was broken into last Friday. Broke the lock, and when that didn't work they smashed the driver's side window. Joke's on them though, there was nothing to steal. In your face, robbers. You have no defense against my lack of popular interests! To the umpteenth schizzle, my nerdish bretheren!

-I bought Profit last Thursday, and watched it last Friday. (Btw, this gave the vandals the opportunity to break into the above car). It was muy muy bueno! Carla and I came to the conclusion that Profit is the Santa Claus of the Nineties. Sure, he does evil things, but oddly enough things almost always end up better for the nice people in the long run. Jim Profit: Making the World a Better Place Through Sociopathic Machinations.

-Am going to Christmas dinner tonight. Yuh, and you thought the idea of carols in October was bad ;) My Uncle is going out of town soon, so we wanna do the familial thing while we still have a chance. Still, it doesn't help the guilt about not buying any prezzies for anyone yet. Luckily, I don't have a conscious. Waitaminute...I do, I totally do. Crimeny!

And speaking of such, I must be out the door to the aforementioned dinner.

Catch ya'll on the flip side!

Ya Know...

...If I had known ahead of time that I'd be getting half naked in class tomorrow for surface anatomy, I would have gone a little easier on the Christmas cookies today.

Luckily, I am saved from total embarrassment by two factors: I have no shame (at least, not unless the teacher comforts my partner with the fact that it's hard to find landmarks on overweight people *wince*) and also, everyone else is likely somewhat apprehensive about this too.

Eh, whatcha gonna do. Must remember to temper exhibitionalist tendencies tomorrow (and not hum any Right Said Fred as I semi-disrobe).

And to distract myself, I believe that I will post some quizzes:

What people don't know, is that is actually my full Christian name ;)

Am Feeling Kinda Like Jabba...

Not in the whole "I really want Han Solo" sense, although I do;)

It's just that I don't wanna get up to run, as I've been really crappy with keeping up with that lately. But I suppose I must. Otherwise...well, I don't know how to finish that sentence. Maybe otherwise Tempered won't update? Sounds good.

Speaking of updating, Morgan72uk (AWESOME House fic writer), just finished Downpour. Mad, mad love for this story. Everyone seemed in character, no one was excessively softened, but everything seemed to click. It felt like something that could happen on the show...and I wouldn't be surprised if some version of the second case didn't pop up some time. And now it's done.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!

(I love this story, and it ended at exactly the right spot, but I reiterate my previous statement. I want more dammit.)

In other worlds, last night I watched Kung Fu Hustle. It was darker than I expected (all people who have seen it are now laughing at me, because it's not serious by any means). It was made by the same people who made Shaolin Soccer (which, btw, is AWESOME!) and so I kept amused by pointing out all the cross over actors. So, the final verdict is: Not as easy to watch as Shaolin Soccer, but still better than 80% of English movies. Man, Cantonese just keeps getting better :) (I'm sure China feels my cinematic love. Love Fu, Dudes.)

And then I made a huge cinematic score...Mystery Science Theatre 3000: The Movie! W00t and also yay and also...vunderbar! I got it for three bucks (VHS, don't care, still psyched) and spent a very satisfying two hours watching it today. Man, I LOVE that series man. I can't believe that it was on for ten years before I heard about it.

Kinda like Profit, only I haven't bought it yet cause no one carries it, and I knew about it RIGHT as it came on. So really nothing like Profit. Grr.

In less frustrating news, watched Stewart Little 2 yesterday. Ignored all non Hugh Laurie parts, and finished the movie very satisfied.

(I meant with his acting people...or did I?)

And...well, I'm sure I have other things to say, but I think I'm gonna haul my butt over to the treadmill. And I will run like an eagle! (Which, frankly aren't that good at running. Which is why they/I need practice;)

In the Meantime, enjoy these quizzes...

The Keys to Your Heart

You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.

In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.

You'd like to your lover to think you are loyal and faithful... that you'll never change.

You would be forced to break up with someone who was insecure and in constant need of reassurance.

Your ideal relationship is lasting. You want a relationship that looks to the future... one you can grow with.

Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.

You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.

In this moment, you think of love as commitment. Love only works when both people are totally devoted.

Huh. Okay. Well, that's just freaky is what that quiz is. It's like they have window into my...when, soul is a little pretentious. Maybe a window into my vagina?

Kindness

Kindness is most important in a boyfriend/girlfriend. You want someone who will go through everything with you - the best moments and the worst, and all of those other moments in between. You love to be able to say anything to your partner, and have them say anything to you. You are able to be extremely close with your partner for that reason.

Huh, well I s'pose that also makes sense. Although it makes me sound a lot less shallow then I actually am. Still, good press ain't a bad thing, yo!

FYI, Apparently You Can Make Chocolate Chip Cookies Without Brown Sugar, Vanilla, or Eggs...

And they're still delicious! I am the substitution queen!

I start Block 2 tomorrow. My notes are all in order, my pre-readings done, my agenda prepped, and I've vowed that this time I will stay on top of everything. You know, the same pre-school ritual I've maintained and shortly thereafter broken since the first grade;)

Am feeling pretty mellow at the moment. I had a nice relaxing weekend, with baking on Friday AND Saturday, Tempered by Cincoflex updated (Squeee!) and I rented Stuart Little yesterday.

You can all shut up. Just because I apparently lust after a guy twice my age, you don't get to mock. And next year he will not be twice my age. Then he'll only be 23 years older then me. So nyeah.

Being how I'm of the mental age of eleven, I had actually planned on seeing this movie when it came out. But I must have been distracted by something shiny, so I didn't plunk myself infront of this particular reel until last night. It was pretty cute. The plot points were a little obvious, but we're talking to the girl who used to watch The Lost World here, so no serious complaints. It was, however, weird as all get out to watch Hugh Laurie play Mr. Little. He was utterly charming as the super-nice Dad, but I spent the whole movie half expecting him to let loose with the snark. And when he even remotely approached it (Ex., the whole "I do not like that child" line) I would crack up. Also, I found the fact that M. Night Shyamalan wrote the screenplay ratched up the tension nicely. Oh sure, everything seemed nice and cute, but any second we could have found out that Stuart wasn't actually a mouse, he was a cat, and everyone else were actually stuffed animals in an institution, and if you looked back IT ALL MADE SENSE! 0MGWTFPL0TTWISTBBQ!!!

At any rate, now I have the insane urge to rent the sequel. Because of the plot. Yes, the plot. And not because I wish to corrupt Mr. Little and muss up his hair. Nope. That would be wrong. But would feel so right...

*ahem*

In other worlds, I think I'm gonna buy Profit the series. Frankly, I planned to pick it up yesterday at Blockbuster, but they didn't have it in stock. Probably just as well. The juxtaposition of Stuart Little with Profit probably would have caused a rip in the fabric of time that would have destroyed us all.

...which would have been the PERFECT diversion to kidnap Mr. Little...Hmmm...

...But that would be wrong...right?

Antibiotics Suck and So Do I

Okay, fine. So they don't suck completely, what with that curing of bacteria and such. But if they could just kill the bacteria completely with one dose as opposed to letting bacteria build up resistance, then I'm sure that I could just memorize the two or three that we'd need, as opposed to having to memorize the billion or so that I need for the two finals tomorrow.

Btw, the final also sucks. In fact, the only things that DON'T suck right now is that Morgan72uk wrote another house ficlet. Yay!

In other worlds, I'll probably vent tomorrow after I get home. In the meantime, quizzes!

Well, It Could Certainly Be Worse...

Your word is BUGGER. You are generally quite
restrained, but sometimes your anger or
frustration come to the surface and it all
comes out. Yet you somehow can't stop sounding
polite, despite it all.

Which Swear (Curse) Word Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

And truthfully, it does kinda suit my mood right now;) Ya see, Timmy, I had the best of intentions this morning. I got up early enough to get to school by 8:30am, even though my first class wasn't until 3:00pm. I planned to work out, hand in my Ethics essay, then finish my Problem Solving Research, and then maybe work on my History Essay.

Slight problem being that I can't save any of my documents on the school computer. [Above Word] *shakes fist*

Ah well, there are worse things than hanging out when I'm dreadfully behind. F'r instance, I could moon about House, MD. Because I am in mad, mad love with this show. I can't believe it went on hiatus RIGHT as I started watching :( Luckily it's back next week. Sure I shouldn't watch it then, because of teh_Exam_o_Doom, but...let's be honest...I'm so going to.

The only problem is (once again) my ship is not fandom's favourite :( Sure, I expected House/Wilson to be popular (cause let's admit it, they're adorable AND slash:) but am mystified by the glut of House/Cameron out there. I mostly like Cameron, although I have my problems with her. And I (of course) adore House. But C'mon! House/Cuddy all the way, yo! (And please God let Cincoflex update Tempered tonight. C'mon. You KNOW you wanna!)

In other news, Veronica Mars is chugging along. The last episode left me a little cold, but that might be because the love interests (Duncan and Jackie) don't really do it for me. Things look to be picking up though, so yayness. I just want us to have a little more Logan. And since that should be happening any episode now, I am bouncing in anticipation.

My name is Earl is on tonight, which is another thrilling development. I am continually surprised at how sweet Earl is. From staying with his (obviously) unfaithful wife, to doing paper-mâché with a girl he took home for a "one night stand" to the nice stuff he does for his brother, I am constantly saying awwwww. I'm not denying that he isn't the brightest bulb in the motel, but don't we all just want to follow the wisdom of Carson Daly sometimes?

I have officially given up on Bones. Sorry Temperance, but you're just a leetle too Sue-y for my taste. Which is a shame, as I REALLY like David Boreanaz in his role (go figure). I think that if they could get Rob Thomas/Joss Whedon to take over the writing, the show could go places. I also haven't seen Criminal Minds since the second first episode. This is more of a "it's on at the same time as Lost and Veronica Mars" issue, but I think that I must soon make the decision to let it go as well. *tear* Oh Mandy Patinkin, call me when you change timeslots...

Speaking of Lost, I haven't seen a single episode since before the season finale. And yet, I am entirely aware of what is going on, due to fic and recaps at Television Without Pity. So...uh, keep up the good work. And have more Hurley. And naked Sawyer. Put them in the same scene if you have to, just get them on my screen...STATIM!

Sheesh, this entry is putting me to sleep. Possibly I shall make a coffee run, possibly I shall move to Kenya and open up a Super-Hero for hire business (Cause that would be awesome!) Although, knowing my propensity for rambling, it might go something like this:

Hello From the SuperTemp Agency!

Boy howdy was today eventful<--because I would say boy howdy a lot in Kenya.
First, Skeletor needed more minions, which is against our policy (No shoes, no skin/soul, no service!). Which reminds me of something that happened on this television show yesterday. There was a girl way behind on her studies, but she procrastinated. And I like cheese, which is sometimes made in Australia, (which is where my cousins are from!). Only one of them is blond like Ryan Reynolds though. Anyways, suffice to say, when the dust cleared the Flash was naked, the Hulk had sprained his kneeling knee, and I won't be able to clean that sign for another month.

See ya Super Dupers!

See what I mean. It's like a torrent of non-connective ideas that smashes you against the rocks of confusion. Or something ;)

At any rate, I am going to get that caffeine/theophylline now. Remember kids, once you have symptoms it's too late to cure Rabies. So get the shots when you get bit, yo!

Current Quote (From Velocityboy on Metaquotes):
Yelling, "Vlad Tepes was a national hero, plus he invented the lawn ornament!" in crowded places... which as my quirk I can only attempt to defend, is neither cute nor very smile-worthy.

Also, Vlad the Impaler wasn't nearly as cuddly as Mr. Bear.

Okay, that's awesome. Not quite as cool as my current fave "Luminous Beings Are We, Not This Crude Matter" but Scotty is the very next best thing to Yoda. Dude.

And now I should go to bed, as I have to be up in six hours *groan*

Catch ya later, Alligators!

Uh...I Think I Have An Extra 60% There...

You fit in with:
Spiritualism

Your ideals are mostly spiritual, but in an individualistic way. While spirituality is very important in your life, organized religion itself may not be for you. It is best for you to seek these things on your own terms.

80% spiritual.
80% reason-oriented.

Ah well, I was never good at math. Although I do believe that some math is of a higher power (hee hee, math is punny).

And now, back to grammar. Dammit.

Mmmm, LinkSpam...

So, I should be working on my ethics essay. Sadly, as I have no ethics, this is proving difficult. Or it would, had I ethics.

So in the interim, I shall bombard everyone with links.

Foist up on th' docks, lay-dees and Gen'l'men...this is why you can never trust trailers.

Behold...the most touching feel-good film of the year!

For those of you who've never watched Lost...this flash recap won't help. It will, however, likely crack up everyone who a) loves the show for the fun, not the brains and b) loves Weird Al's version of Bohemien Rhapsody. Momma, My Link Has Come.

What's that you say? The previous Lost link was too coherent? Well then, good sirras, you'll wanna click on this link. Think Donnie Darko does ABC.

We've always suspected it, and now we have proof. Superman is a Dick. (For the love of God, make sure you check out Seduction of the Innocent. Had I an (even slightly) less forturitous urinary sphincter, I would have peed myself.

Is there something missing from your Harry Potter experience. Sure the plots tend to be entertaining, and the subtext is delightful (embraced like brothers my ass) but don't you just find yourself missing that all important ingredient? (Chemical X?) Well you're not alone my friend. Before saving the world (and definately before bedtime) make sure to check out The Potterpuffs.

And finally...This is incredibly amusing to me as I am apparently eight years old. (This may explain why perfect strangers call me sweetie and pumpkin.)

Well, that's all for now Space Cowboys. Now I have to go correct Grammar. [French article, masculine]+ [English verb, utterance made by exhaling audibly]

I wish my mother had given me 20$ when I came out. "Hey mom, I'm bi!" "Hardcore, sweetie, here's 20 dollars!"
(I was eleven so twenty bucks would have been sweet).

Times have I returned to my own blog to use my links. Pathetic I may be, but...actually, that's all I got have now.

The only way out of here is to pick one of these doors.
One of them leads to the castle at the center of the Labyrinth. The other one leads to...
...Ba Dah Da Dummm...

...Certain death!
(Oooooooooh)
What a liar! I always tell the truth and HE always lies! I always tell the truth and HE always lies!
